8&1 Dance Company is producing “HEART AND SOUL DANCE FESTIVAL - "Unity through Dance"
September 30th at the Courtyard Theatre in Plano

DETAILS:

1. There is no fee to submit your dance, music, spoken word, or short skit. Professional works are preferred but pre-professional will be considered if space permits. There are also NO FEES associated with this production. 8&1 Dance Company will cover all costs of producing. Companies and soloists are responsible only for the costs in preparing their works for the stage. 8&1 will not be providing any funding for these matters.
   
   
2. Submissions must be emailed to jsrucciny@gmail.com before AUGUST 1, 2017.  HOWEVER DANCES SUBMITTED BEFORE JULY 15th will get first priority-please submit actual work to be performed. If the work is only partially completed, please send as much info or video footage as possible to help show us your vision.
   
   
3. Notification of acceptance or rejection via email will go out before August 15, 2017. At that point companies accepted must commit and sign a contract that they are available for both the tech and show dates. 
   
   
4. Companies may submit up to 3 pieces. No time minimums or maximums.
   
   
5. The theme is “Heart And Soul” Your works must be relevant to keeping with that them; whether it's spoken word or a dance piece all must be soulful and fit within the theme of family, friends, support , children or any thing you can brainstorm up that's relevant .
   
   
6. Each Company selected will be required to sell 15 tickets total.
   independent artists /Soloists performing will be asked to sell 4 tickets.
   Dance Studio groups selected will be asked to sell 20 tickets.
   Ticket prices TBD but will not exceed $26.00.
   
   

Sales requirements will ensure we have a full house for our evening’s performers, allow us to fill the theatre with community members and have proceeds to donate to the charity to benefit children with cancer.  There will not be any compensation to selected companies or performers via 8&1. The purpose of this performance is to show our support to our community and those in need. We can spread sunshine throughout the world by using our creativity. WE HOPE YOU JOIN OUR MISSION.
